Top biggest mistakes done by freelancers in the beginning

August 27, 2019 0

We are going to discussed about new & old freelancer which make many mistake in the beginning / during freelancing and the result is that their accounts get blocked.

There are few mistakes listed below:-

  1. Personal detail sharing with client like "Phone, Email, Skype etc".
  2. Not reporting to CS if someone ask for personal detail.
  3. Empty /Partial delivery & uncompleted work.
  4. Not properly read terms & condition provided by freelancer company.
  5. Work completed but not accordingly to the buyers requested.
  6. Mostly they are angry with the buyers.
  7. Not proper collection of the project requirements.
  8. High rates (In order for new freelancers to get clients, they have to have lower rates than everybody else.)
  9. One person have Multiple accounts of one company.
  10. One withdraw method linked to many accounts of one company(Like one payoneer account linked to many fiverr accounts).
  11. Copied of other freelancer portfolio and profile description.
  12. Using of copyrights images from google in own services.
  13. if someone going good then copying his services.

How you can overcome this common mistake:-

Don’t worry about getting clients with low rates, worry about getting clients with (ethical) influence. Everybody makes that topic so complicated, when in all reality, you just need to show the client how you can help them reach their goal…and that’s as complicated as it needs to get.

Thank you for your support.

Top 4 Tips to Secure Your IP Cameras

August 26, 2019 0

Unsecured IP Cameras List: Where and How They are Used:-

While unsecured IP cameras in public places, such as parks, parking lots, restaurants, streets, supermarkets, are not going to really alert you, unsecured security cameras in people's homes let you worry about privacy issues.

According to Insecam, up to 15.4% of all the unsecured web cameras are from homes, following outdoor/parks (21.55%) and parking lots (21.18%).

List of Unsecured IP Cameras Due to Lack of Password Protection:-

A list of unsecured cameras includes those without a strong password to protect.

Sometimes you use a security camera without password protection, or forget to change the default username and password. IP cameras "protected" with the default username and password widely known to thieves are extremely vulnerable to be hacked.

It is impossible for us to cover all the insecure IP cameras in this passage, due to the limited data and information source. But we'll keep updating the unsecured web camera list. And it is highly appreciated if you can add more unsecured video cameras we fail to mention by making comments below.

Unsecured IP Camera Reddit

Top 4 Tips to Secure Your IP Cameras
So how could you avoid being a victim of the prying eyes?

Here we list top 4 effective ways so that you can stay away from the trouble of unsecured IP cameras.

1. Buy a security camera with advanced encryption.

Many high quality cameras will provide multi-level security features to keep your footage from prying eyes. For example, the Reolink wireless security cameras and PoE IP cameras are secured with SSL encryption, WPA2-AES encryption, and SSL-TLS enabled to make sure that your recordings are indeed secure.

2. Change the default username and password as soon as you setup your camera.

Input a username and password that is 6 characters or longer. It's highly advised to use a combination of lower-case and upper-case letters as well as numbers and special characters.

3. Make sure your camera has the latest security firmware installed.

The latest security camera firmware will always provide protection to any new method of hacking into your cameras. And there is usually a page that you can find all the latest firmware for upgrade.

4. Change the security camera default port.

Hackers often target default ports, which is usually within the 8100 range. You can manually change the security camera default port to a non-standard port. This will make it more difficult for hackers to find your camera.

If you have more ideas to address the IP camera hack issues or more insights into the unsecured IP cameras, you're very welcome to share with us by leaving a comment down below!

5 Big Fatal Mistakes When Buying CCTV

August 07, 2019 0

The choice of CCTV is very important in the security design in order to ensure appropriate image quality being captured. The Cameras, DVR, Internet service provider, Equipment quality etc. The 5 Big fatal mistakes when buying CCTV are given below:-

1. Paying a Premium Price for a Budget CCTV System:

CCTV installation and purchase can be problematic for many organisations. Issues include identifying reputable companies, achieving an understanding of the requirement, being able to compare offerings based on different solutions and equipment, how the system should be operated to provide effective security, ensuring that the system meets current legislative requirements and produces pictures of evident quality.

Even if CCTV companies have been required to quote for the same system it can be difficult to determine if the lowest quotation is offering best value or using inferior equipment to gain a price advantage.

Under these circumstances it is not unusual for a company to simply opt for the least expensive solution on offer. Quite often this will fall into the 80% of systems that fail to meet police standards and the money may well be wasted. All too often the system chosen while being cheaper than the other two is still far too expensive for what is being provided and the customer ends up paying a premium rate for a system which is not fit for purpose.

2. Putting Your Trust in a Local or Nationally Known CCTV Installation Company:

As our Principal Consultant conducts CCTV audits for organisations as diverse as Her Majesty's Prison Service, the NHS and leading organisations in the retail and leisure industry, he has been able to obtain a unique insight into the quality of installation in the UK. Sadly, he has found that each installation depends on the individual salesperson who designed the system and the size or public perception of the installation company offers little assurance of good design. His own experience would indicate that the police statistic of 80% of cameras not being fit the purpose is, if anything, a conservative estimate.

3. Choosing the Wrong Lens:

Most Internet Sales Companies will not give you the following information as you would quickly realise that many of the Cameras they are trying to sell would not produce pictures that are fit for purpose.

The biggest problem with CCTV installations is that the wrong lens is chosen. This normally results in people being too small to recognise and with CCTV pictures only being around 40k each, and not the 10 million you get on your photo camera, you cannot electronically zoom in. To be able to recognise a 1.7m person on a standard* CCTV system they must be at least 50% height of screen (the standards of Detect and Observe are not good enough to recognise person simply to observe what a group is doing or detect a person is present in the picture)

4.Choosing the Wrong DVR:

Until 2009 you could simply evaluate the recognition standard of a CCTV system based on what percentage of the screen a person filled (see previous section). But with the latest standard from the Home Office things are slightly more complicated. These percentages are based on the PAL televisions standard which was used for most systems. Now, however, there are a number of recording resolution formats available and the above sizes depend upon the quality of each format.

5. Installing an Illegal System:

CCTV is subject to the 62 legal requirements of the Data Protection Act.Understanding the DPA could save your organisation £250,000 +. Imagine if my wife were to enter our local supermarket and instead of the monitor simply showing her entering the store (legal) it was showing the wine and spirits aisle (illegal). As she looks at the picture she recognizes me walking down the aisle, but unfortunately I'm kissing and cuddling another woman. Were this to end in divorce my wife would almost certainly sue me for half of my pension, half of our home and 50% of the other properties we own. This would certainly come to £250,000 and maybe a good deal more. This aspect of the divorce, however, would not worry me overmuch as I know that I can sue the supermarket for every penny, as they disclosed visual data on me to my wife without my permission.

7 Reasons to Buy and Use Dome Security Cameras

August 05, 2019 0

What Is a Dome Camera:

Dome security cameras get their name for the dome-shaped housings, which are designed to brave all the elements. The dome CCTV cameras are widely used inside and outside the home, on the ceilings, in retail stores, hotels, etc.

How Do Dome Security Cameras Work:

Dome security cameras are packed with infrared LED lights to work perfectly with little or no light at all, such as the Reolink RLC-422 dome IP camera, which can see up to 100ft in total darkness with 24pcs infrared LEDs.

Top 6 Advantages of Dome Security Cameras:-

1: Variety and Diversity:-

Dome security cameras come in different shapes and sizes.

Technically speaking, dome cameras could be IP dome security cameras or analog dome security cameras, and some of them could be packed with IR night vision or other advanced technologies like pan-tilt-zoom features, motion sensors or thermal sensors.

In terms of appearance, dome surveillance cameras have fixed or mobile and movable domes; various external housing could be designed to blend in with the surrounding.

And the very notion of outdoor dome security cameras means they are born to be a variety which not only indicates the variety of design mentioned before, but also the practical application on various setting such as cross-road, parking lot, supermarket, backyard, etc.

CCTV outdoor dome cameras, for example, are widely used in public areas and areas where people congregate and gather frequently, like rail stations, squares or plaza.

The primary reason for opting for dome security camera systems stems from the fact that they are uniquely qualified to be responsible for massive area surveillance, especially if they are outfitted with extraordinarily advanced sensors and high resolution like 20MP or 50MP.

2: Wide Angle:

The very element in the dome security camera design – dome shape launches it on a path to be multi-functional and flexible, which sets them apart from the bullet-shaped camera as bullet cameras are intensively targeting on certain designated patch of land.

Dome-shaped security cameras either outdoor dome or indoor dome, however, can be transformed into panoramic surveillance cameras that are packed with multiple sensors.

PTZ dome security cameras are bestowed with ultra wide angle cameras which maximize areas of scouting and expand the field of view significantly to 180-degree or staggering 360-degree, overshadowing majority of other bullet cameras on the market.

3: Vandal Resistant:

Of course, there are some undetected flaws in dome-shaped cameras if you choose wrongly. For example, dome security cameras, especially outdoor dome surveillance cameras, are susceptible to damaging and rough handling if they are not vandal-proof dome security cameras.

If you are looking for a security camera to be placed in a low ceiling or places which are closer to capture the faces of visitors or within your arm’s reach, you need to consider possible mistreatment or attempt to take them off.

Outdoor dome security camera housing is normally rated IK 10 as vandal-proof to ward off tampering and rough handling, and the sleek shape of outdoor CCTV dome camera is relatively hardened to being manually taken off by intruders or burglars.

4: Discreet and Low Profile:

Another reason for the popularity of dome security cameras is that they are not readily noticeable and conspicuous, which is particularly useful for the front door, church surveillance or places where you don’t expect passers-by or visitors to be instantly aware of the existence or whereabouts of surveillance cameras.

5: Artistic Appeal:

Many homeowners prefer dome security cameras over bullet cameras merely out of affection on the artistic appearance.

Instead of being relatively intrusive, IP dome security cameras take on simplicity and minimalism to soften intrusion with the surrounding, especially white-colored dome security cameras, they can easily blend in with the settings such as limestone white walls and ceiling plaster.

That could explain why many customers are prone to install dome shaped security cameras inside the house: the dome security cameras if not being in sharp contrast to the whole color tone will naturally immerse with interior décor.

6: Installation:

The installation between PoE bullet and dome surveillance cameras is somehow similar to each other as both types need to place the bracket on the surface and screw before mounting them.

But the wired or wireless dome security cameras do make a difference which implicates some drilling into the wall and threading wires around the house.

7: Day & Night Monitoring:

Infrared dome security cameras can stand guard your property both day and night, even in total darkness. In virtue of the built-in infrared LEDs, the outdoor dome security cameras can deliver sharp and clear images without ambient light at all.

In the unfortunate case that you suffer from a home break-in, the dome shaped security cameras would send you instant alerts and the recorded footage can also be the proof to help pinpoint suspects.

Final Comments:

Despite many benefits of dome cameras, any outdoor cameras if not being well maintained could easily become dusty and a potential hotbed for spider webs, thus regular maintenance and cleaning on the surface on any security cameras are necessary to prolong their lifespan in the long haul.

ANALOG VS DIGITAL IP SECURITY CAMERAS & CCTV SYSTEMS

July 25, 2019 0

The main difference between analog CCTV and digital (IP) CCTV is the method by which video is recorded and delivered. Analog cameras record images and then send the signal over a coaxial cable to a DVR (Digital Video Recorder). The DVR converts the video from analog to digital signals, compresses the file, and stores it on a hard drive. Monitors need to be hooked up to the DVR to view the video, or the DVR can be connected to a router and modem to broadcast it over the internet through an internal network.
Digital security cameras on IP-based CCTV systems, on the other hand, record the images digitally to begin with. Then, they can receive and send data over a computer network rather than going through a DVR first. This method nixes the boxy setup with multiple ports in favor of an NVR, which is typically a simple software program that can be run on a device dedicated solely to operating the NVR or on a complete system.

Analog Security Cameras

Advantages :

Cost: Analog cameras tend to cost less, sometimes even a lot less, than their digital counterparts on a per camera basis.

Simplicity: DVR is easier to set up and understand for most. It is one unit with one cost, and the installation is a bit more straightforward.

Lower Bandwidth Requirements: Analog recorded video files tend to be smaller, and they are transmitted to the DVR over coax instead of LAN, so transmitting them doesn’t take as much bandwidth and doesn’t tax your network as much. Plus, DVRs also usually only transmit the information and use bandwidth when someone is viewing the video, rather than on a more constant basis.
More Design Options: With a wider variety of analog camera designs, you may have an easier time finding a camera model with all of the features you need at a lower cost.

Disadvantages :

Cabling: Because the cameras need to be connected to both the power supply and the DVR via cables, you tend to have a lot of wiring to handle, even if you use cables that bundle video and power. Furthermore, coax cables are usually more expensive on their own than the Cat 5 or 6 counterparts used for digital systems.
Image Quality: The image quality on analog cameras is pretty low. Most smartphones today have higher resolution. As a result, details at a distance may be grainy, making it difficult to identify potential suspects in an incident with a high degree of confidence. Moreover, there’s no digital zoom. If you try to zoom in on something on analog video, you’ll likely get an image that is even more blurred and grainy.

Coverage Area: Typically, analog surveillance cameras have a much narrower field of view than their digital counterparts, so you may need more of them to cover the area you need.

Positioning Limitations: Because analog cameras need to be connected to the DVR, you have to keep these cameras within a reasonable range of the device, or you risk diminishing the reliability of the connection. As a result, you become more limited on where you can place your cameras.

Port Limitations: DVRs have only so many ports on them, so you can only connect a limited number of cameras to them. If you want to exceed this number, you’ll probably have to get a second DVR. Wireless Capability (or Lack Thereof): The reality is that analog wireless systems don’t work very well due to government regulations regarding analog frequencies and signal strength. As a result, other wireless devices and even fluorescent lighting can interfere with and distort the video signal.

Encryption: Analog signals can’t be encrypted, typically speaking, meaning that it could be easier to for unwanted eyes to view the signal.

Digital Security Camera Systems

Advantages :

Image Quality: The image quality from digital security cameras is significantly higher than analog, with many cameras capable of recording and transmitting high-definition video. Plus, digital cameras are more likely to have digital zoom features, which can have zoom distances over 100ft.

Coverage Area: A single digital camera can cover an area that would require three or even four of its analog counterparts. As a result, you may require fewer cameras and be able to maintain security surveillance over a wider area.

Fewer Cables Needed: Instead of individually wiring each camera with power and then cabling each camera to the DVR, digital systems can have multiple cameras connected to a switch, and then all of those cameras on the switch can be connected to the NVR with a single cable.

Positioning or Port Limitations: Because cameras merely need to be connected to your LAN network in order to connect to your NVR, you are no longer limited by the distance between cameras and the video recorder. As the NVR is software-based and does not have ports, you also eliminate that limitation as well.

Power over Ethernet (PoE): Power over Ethernet switches enable your signal cables to provide power to the cameras as well, reducing the need for those additional cables. Wireless Capability: Digital security camera systems are very good at operating within a wireless network. They are not susceptible to the same kinds of interference that affect their analog counterparts, so you can easily view a live feed from more remote locations if desired.

Encryption: A lot of digital security cameras have encryption built in, so your data is safer from the beginning of its journey to its end.

Disadvantages :

Setup Complications: If you don’t have the network set up already and the switches in place, these can increase the cost and labor involved in your CCTV installation, regardless of the fact that you’d need fewer cables overall.

Higher Initial Cost: The cameras and equipment (aside from cables) tend to cost more on an individual basis compared to their analog counterparts (though you might need fewer of them, so the costs may balance out).

High Bandwidth Requirements: IP security camera systems usually require a lot more bandwidth than analog ones. Between the higher resolution and higher frame rate, even with compression, you’re looking at around 720Kbps, and that’s before considering the newer cameras that have megapixel resolution. As a result, this could drive your costs up.

Storage Requirements: Higher resolution and higher frame rates mean larger files, so you’ll need a lot more storage space on your hard drive to accommodate them.

How Security Cameras with Alarms Work

July 25, 2019 0

Security cameras with alarms, in light of different motion detection sensors equipped with them, can be divided into two types.
The first type of security cameras with built-in alarms relies on software-based motion sensors. They detect motion by comparing a sequence of frames and counting the number of different pixels.
When pixel changes between successive frames, the software inside home security cameras with alarms will count it as a motion event and set off the alarms.
The choice of CCTV is very important in the security design in order to ensure appropriate image quality being captured. The Cameras, DVR, Internet service provider, Equipment quality etc.

The second type of IP security cameras with alarms is PIR (Passive infrared) movement sensor camerasthat passively receive and detect infrared radiation from the surrounding. When the differences of radiation are identified, alarms ensue.
As PIR sensors are more sensitive to infrared radiations from humans or animals, PIR security cameras with remote alarms can dramatically reduce false alarms caused by fluttering moths or flying twigs, and catch what you really care about.

What the Common Alert Options of Security Cameras with Alarms Are :

In general, when motion is detected, outdoor and indoor security cameras with alarms can inform you through push notifications in Appemails attached with snapshots or videos and texts. And then you can replay video clips in App to check the actual circumstance.
Besides these alert options, some high-end wired and wireless security cameras are equipped with audible alarms (siren) or especially customized voice-recordable alerts, like Reolink Argus® 2.
The built-in ear-splitting siren of security cameras with alarm system will sound automatically until the burglar leaves your home, which would definitely induce vigilance from neighbors or the police.
And the customized voice allows you to record the warning based on your need like “Get out of my house.” and broadcast in the whole room.
Apart from self-monitored alert options mentioned above, some monitored CCTV cameras with remote alarms can ring a call center, which requires a multi-year contract with highly-stunning extra service fees. Also, staffs at the call center may misjudge the real situation.
In fact, with wired or wireless security cameras with audio alarms, you can totally get hold of your home by yourself for free – after receiving motion alarms, checking the exact situation by motion event replay and taking actions.

5 WAYS TO PREVENT UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS OF YOUR COMPANY DATA

July 25, 2019 0

Data is the new commodity. Protecting that data is tougher because data is everywhere. At Click Data, our business is data and we frequently get asked what data security measures we have in place that can be used to safeguard against unauthorized access. Some of the measures we make available to our customers are not unique to our platform, in fact they are used by many different cloud platforms for both consumer and business-to-business use.
Here are five features that you should use to keep your account secure.

Strong Password Policy:

Asking your users to add symbols, numbers and a mix of characters forces passwords to be harder to discover. Ensuring a minimum number of characters and that they change it frequently, every 60 days or 90 days, also ensures that old passwords don’t stay the same for years on end, making it much easier to gain unauthorized access to the account.

IP White listing:

IP White listing looks at the user’s IP address and compares it to a list of “allowed” IP addresses to see if this device is authorized to access the account. If your company accesses the internet all via one or a defined set of IP addresses, which is typically the case, then you can add a list of IP addresses that are allowed access. All other IP will be redirected to a not allowed page.
If your IP address changes frequently, then this method may not be possible, but you can typically ask your internet provider for a fixed IP address, especially if you have employees who work from home.

Single Sign-On (SSO) :

If your company employs a centralized user directory, using their directory to gain access makes things more manageable and easier for you. You will only need to remember one password, and if something happens, your network administrator can immediately remove access to all your applications in one go. If an employee is on leave or has left the company, you can be sure to disable their account in one step, as opposed to logging in to all the different systems and removing their access individually.

Two Factor Authentication :

Multifactor AuthenticationTwo factor authentication is great way to make sure that it is really you that is accessing the account. In addition to the usual login and password, you will need to have another device (typically your mobile device) close by since you will need to enter a code that will instantly be generated for you.
Two Factor Authentication, or 2 FA, is becoming very popular and both Google and Microsoft provide mobile apps that allow you to implement this very strong security method in most of your favorite apps.

Monitoring :

Prevention is obviously the first step, but monitoring login attempts and user activities can also provide insight into how best to prevent unauthorized access. For example, if you have logs of unsuccessful attempted logins for one user, you can initiate an investigation to see if it is indeed the user that simply forgot his or her password, or if someone is trying to hack their way into the account.
All the above data security methods are absolutely needed these days in an age where getting access to data, irrespective to its importance, is a game for hackers. Once an account is breached, the damage done can cost more than just money, especially if you have personal data in your account. So, keep it safe and use most or all of the above methods!
